Chessington

Well I thought it would be a good idea to take the children to Chessington for the day, so thats what we did.
They loved it. grumpy went on some rides, which is unusual for him, Stroppy loved it, Squiggle found everything spinny & spent time running over to them all, and Mini Mum spent the day trying to plan everything.
Dinner was under £30 for 6 of us & Grumpy certainly made that worthwhile, he eats like a horse, how he's still skinny I don't know!!!
After a while we went on the carousel, my idea of Hell in all honesty, I hate the small spinny rides and avoid going on where possible. Give me a proper rollercoaster any day lol.
So Squiggle gets on a horse & I sit on another close enough to be able to keep an eye on him & the whole time we are going round he is whistfully watching 2 boys of 1 that you could sit & spin like the teacups. So as the ride finishes Squiggle flies straight over to the spinny one and makes himself comfortable. The ride attendant gets all uppity and says he can't go on there he has to walk back round to the entrance. Ummmmm he's gonna fit on wiht the number of people on there anyway you just want to make him walk all the way round again???? So I argued my point and said he has his wristband anyway at which point she relented & let him on without having to run round to the entrance again.
I can't watch things that spin, they make me feel sick so I happily turned my back to the ride for the majority of it & just a quick glance round to make sure he was still sat down. I've never seen that bit spin so fast & he loved it lol. Would have stayed on there all day if I had let him I think!!

When we leave we put the sat nav on & say that the children can hold it & direct us when we are nearer to home, in other words when we know the way from there ;o) Squiggle stayed awake & constantly asked if he could hold the sat nav, we managed to hold off til we were 60 miles from home (despite knowing th eway long before that) in the hope it would entertain him longer, we had updates of every mile, what speed I was doing, when we were near another road etc lol (now do you understand why we held off that long??)

It was a fun day out and I am certainly looking forward to my next one (which will be soon).
